He and other baptists do a good job teaching some aspects of Christianity, e.g., how to live out a calling as an evangelist. However, they are stubborn concerning biblical instruction in other areas. For example, John Piper had a chapter in a book (I forgot the title)called "Accommodating Atheists". In it he explained that not only *is* our government "officially-atheist" but the Bible teaches it should be that way. He used the reply of Christ to Pilate "My kingdom is not of this world" to explain Christ's kingdom didn't include any of the world's political kingdoms. I attempted to have a biblical discussion with him but got the all-too-familiar "no thank you - my mind's made up" reply.Harry A.
