"Honey, I got you these great volumes of F. Bastiat. This is part of the Von Mises personal library." She places them on a shelf with some decorations and you use the books as needed. See, you were only thinking of yourself--and that the books were too expensive. Think of others. By the way, I have bought lots of books for my wife, for you, for Pres. Bush, for John Calvin, and for lots of other people. I just never get around to giving them to those people. But at least I am not being selfish.
BenAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01151496978820396884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5123697.post-1129577479762596392005-10-17T14:31:00.000-05:002005-10-17T14:31:00.000-05:00Ben:I did get to the bookstores around Harvard Squ...Ben:

I did get to the bookstores around Harvard Square. There I found a number of odd volumes from the personal library of Ludwig Von Mises. I was not able to afford the really great ones--with inscriptions to and from various luminaries of the last half century. But, I was able to get three very interesting Bastiat volumes that Von Mises actually marked up and made comments about. I could barely afford them, but I just couldn't pass them up!gileskirkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11546229381528820614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5123697.post-1129575722462162922005-10-17T14:02:00.000-05:002005-10-17T14:02:00.000-05:00Glad you are back and hope you are quickly rested ...Glad you are back and hope you are quickly rested and ready to hit the Medieval lecture. But there is something else important about the trip: Did you get to the antiquarian bookstores and if so, what did you find?

BenAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01151496978820396884noreply@blogger.com
