According to our present, prevailing cultural consensus
truth is
myth, and
myth is
truth. Likewise, it also affirms
feelings and
emotions as the essential framework for
reality. Long before tenured university professors began calling such enlightenment
"Postmodernism," we typically used another word to describe this peculiar worldview. We called it
"Psychosis."

ReplyDeleteSee to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.
As a former postmodern, I worship an all-wise God whose Word anticipates and resoundingly critiques postmodernism.
Postmodernism is precisely "deceptive" and "hollow" in its insistence that appearances function as realities, that fictions constitute truth. It takes us "captive" in that it tickles our ears and gives us license to believe as we will, which by nature is "according to human tradition"...which most likely began in the garden!
