"If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved; and to be steady on all the battlefield besides, is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point." Martin Luther

That is one of my favourite quotes. It is so appropriate to our current cultural situation. May God grant us the wisdom to know the salient that the enemy presses and the courage to fight severely!
Needed that this morning. As I walked up the six flights of stairs from the parking lot to my cubicle, I prayed through Ephesians 6 asking the Lord to prepare me for today. As soon as I walked into my cube, I was confronted with three problems and felt the desire to flee. Thank you for a timely reminder to remain steel jawed and alert.
I too, say that quote was needed this morning. The attacks are fierce, and we are called to fight. Thank you for this encouragement, and thanks to Mr. Whitlock for his comment too. I needed both of them this morning.
