American Scion

Robert Edward Lee, scion of one of America’s most revered patriot families--and the only man who was offered the command of both the Union and Confederate armies prior to the uncivil War Between the States--was born in Stratford, Virginia on this day in 1807.

It would be well if everyone would read Flood's book Lee-The Last Years. The quotes from Lee's letters to his staff and other generals are priceless in their wisdom

There have been very men in our nation(s)'s history of the character, ability, commitment to God's authority, and true meekness as Robert Edward Lee. His legacy is absolutely astounding.

Happy Birthday, Mars Robert!!

Deo Vindice.
