"If you cannot read
all your books, at any rate handle, or as it were, fondle them—peer into them,
let them fall open where they will, read from the first sentence that arrests
the eye, set them back on the shelves with your own hands, arrange them on your
own plan so that you at least know where they are. Let them be your friends; let them be your acquaintances." Winston S. Churchill

Using this for a dictaton today in class. Thanks.
What the perfect, thought prevoking, yet so delightfully peaceful comment for a dictation. Thank you for sharing! That will be in my journal!
Great quote Dr. Grant. Winston Churchill is an inspiration to me.
"Peer into them" - I picture an old man peering into a glass or cup, as if drowning in his memories contained there.
