Karen and I stood in line almost two hours on this dreary, rainy evening in order to cast our votes--so much for our effecient new voting machines. I never dreamed that I would go to such lengths and still only have candidates to vote against rather than candidates to vote for--so much for the present state of American politics.

I found the machines to be perfectly functional, but the quantity was severely insufficient. I propose that the candidates show how much they value our votes by purchasing voting machines for their districts with some of those campaign funds. Oh, wait... they were wasted on annoying commercials.
I stood in line next to a lady who had attempted to vote before work and on her lunch break, to no avail. We waited in line for 3 1/2 hours in the evening. So her total wait was close to 6 hours.
We had to wait two hours here in Texas. It is starting to feel like every time the government trys to make something better or safer (eg: air travel) it just gets slower and more uncomfortable.
